Lifestyle newborn sessions are some of my favorite sessions. I love seeing how uniquely yours the session ends up while I’m going through and putting your gallery together. The best part? You still have access to my wardrobe! I will happily bring some options for you to pick from so it’s one less thing to worry about the day of.
So often I’m asked how to best prep for a lifestyle session, so I thought I would provide my top tips for your in-home lifestyle session.
Turn up your thermostat a few degrees the morning of your session - babies are always a bit cozier in a warmer house, especially if we want to capture their little toes without the chill of a blast of A/C.
Treat yourself to a mani/pedi before your session or paint your nails the night before. Well manicured nails never take away from a photo - but bright colors or chips definitely will.
Don’t stress about “cleaning” - we all know that with a new baby in the house, no one has time for that! Instead, on the morning of your session, I recommend what I call a “power declutter”. Make your master bed, clear off your nightstands and end tables, shove all of the random baby gifts sitting in the nursery into baby’s closet, and put a fresh sheet on baby’s crib.
