I'm Rachel. I’m a photographer based in Plano, Texas, just north of Dallas, where I live with my husband and our three wild and crazy kids, Colin, Asher and Leila.

This is the part where you’d probably expect me to gush about my lifelong love of photography. Well, yes. Duh. Of course I love photos. Always have. That’s why I do what I do. But what I love just as much, if not more, is working with people. Supporting moms (and dads) like you, as you join me on this wild ride known as parenthood.

It all started as a hobby to ensure I wouldn’t forget all the precious details while in the haze of sleep deprivation a decade ago. Ten years later, I’m still here, snuggling babies, riling up toddlers and capturing precious moments for hundreds of families. Best. Job. Ever.

 

I specialize in newborn, maternity, child and family portraits.

I believe that family photos are critical in capturing a moment in time, whether your baby is a bun-in-the-oven, only a handful of days old, toddling through the park, crushing the monkey bars on the school playground or getting ready to head off to college. Of course, I’m happy to capture what I call “the grandma shot” with everyone still, looking and smiling, but what moves me more is the way your son smiles when he’s enveloped in your arms, how your daughter giggles when you catch her by surprise with the silliest tickle hug, and the warm glow of love when new parents wrap their new baby in a snug embrace. Which is why, when you work with me, our session will be nothing if not FUN. Whether we’re exploring in a park, jumping on the bed, soothing your newborn to sleep or just laughing together, I truly believe that when photography sessions are stress-free and fun, that’s where the magic happens.

A few fun facts about me:

• RFP began in 2015 in Chicago, but in 2019, my husband got “an offer you can’t refuse” with an amazing firm so we packed up and moved to Plano knowing absolutely no one! Five + years later, and we are both SO glad we took the risk!

• I worked in a coffee shop in high school and college. A decade and a half later, and I still don’t like coffee.

• I think I own 3 shirts that don’t fall into the category of black, white or gray. Neutrals are my jam.

• I ate all of my kids Halloween candy. It was delicious.

• No matter how hard I’ve practiced, I can’t wink. 😉😭
