Because of Covid precautions, most sessions have been outdoors this year and I have to say, having a studio session this time around was a nice little change of scenery! While I love my outdoor sessions, there’s something about the simple white background that helps breathe some new creativity into me.

Studio sessions are perfect for those super snuggly shots. There’s nothing quite as cute as piling a family on top of one another and inducing all of the tickle giggle smiles! I have some toys available for kiddos, as well, to help keep them entertained when it’s not their time to be in front of the camera, which helps the session flow right along.

Family Photos Around Me | Dallas Fall Family Photographer

I grew up in a time where your family photos were from when you went to a stuffy studio with all kinds of backdrops in either your Sunday Best or everyone was matching (i.e. all denim, everyone wearing a tracksuit, or my personal favorite, loads of plaid).

I can’t wrap my brain around how it is August in just a few days. We jumped from Spring Break to starting school again in no time flat and it has me a little dizzy just thinking about it.

Working again after the big COVID shutdown, especially with such incredible families, has been so helpful in keeping myself grounded and purposeful. You get real intentional with your time when you’ve got a lot of high priority roles every day and while I’m far from doing it perfectly, I’m definitely appreciating it all. Working with some amazing powerhouse mamas who are juggling the work-from-home life with little ones is so inspiring and keeps me going as I’m capturing their sweet family milestones.
