I grew up in a time where your family photos were from when you went to a stuffy studio with all kinds of backdrops in either your Sunday Best or everyone was matching (i.e. all denim, everyone wearing a tracksuit, or my personal favorite, loads of plaid).
You were sat in one spot, your parents were positioned around you, you smiled your prettiest “or else…” and a few weeks later, your mom framed and hung an 8x10 on the wall with the new portrait.
Did I paint a pretty accurate picture for you?
While I think portraits of that sort have their place in every single gallery, there is so much more to a family portrait that will be cherished for years to come. A candid snap of your two babies snuggling up together. A quick peck on the cheek from your husband. The way your baby looks at you when you’re not looking at them. All of these small details are what truly make the fabric of your family, so why not document them?
If you’re looking for a family photographer this Fall in the Plano or DFW area, I would love to share session details with you. Below is just one example of what your own gallery could look like.
