There’s nothing like the newborn stage. As a mom of three littles myself, I know all too well how those first weeks fly by in a true blur. Taking the time to document your brand new baby while they’re still tiny is crucial!

Whether you pick to have newborn photos at my photography studio, in the field, or in the comfort of your own home, I encourage moms book newborn photos in the second trimester to ensure availability.

newborn sessions include…

• A detailed pre-session consult to go over everything you want to capture and how you envision displaying your portraits.

• Up to 2.5 hours of time together photographing your new baby, either in my Plano studio for posed sessions or in the comfort of your home for lifestyle sessions.

• Expertise of a photographer with 5+ years of experience who will prioritize your baby’s and your family’s health and safety.

• Use of the studio collection of freshly cleaned blankets, wraps and headbands for baby, and use of the studio wardrobe for postpartum-friendly dresses for mom.

• A viewing gallery of 35+ hand-edited images that we’ll review together in-person or via zoom at your design and ordering appointment 2-3 weeks after your session.

My baby turned three this week. She’s my youngest of three, and to me, she will always be my baby. But as the diapers and the drooly kisses slip away in favor of brief moments of insightful conversation about Moana and hilarious opinions about her wardrobe, I grow wistful for the days of squishy snuggly baby moments.

Babyhood is fleeting. However exhausted I was in Leila’s first year, it’s hard to remember the fuzz on her head that lingered for ages and has now been replaced by a mop of wild curls. The way she’d nuzzle up and fall asleep in my arms.

Capture these days mama. Capture it, print it, display it, treasure it. They won’t get any smaller and they won’t stop growing, no matter how sweetly we ask. You’ll never regret investing in an amazing photography experience.

Baby’s first year flies by so amazingly quickly, and it’s unbelievable how little ones evolve from sweet and squishy sleepy babes to interactive tiny people with huge personalities. As a Dallas Baby Photographer, I love capturing your littles loves all throughout their first year. All of the clothing pictured above was borrowed from the Rachel Friedman Photography studio wardrobe, for baby, mom and grandma. All RFP clients are invited to take advantage of the studio wardrobe, which includes dozens of dresses for moms, outfits for littles up to size 6T and shirts and sweaters for dads.

For birthday sessions, families are always welcome to bring a cake along for the session if you’d like to incorporate a smash cake as part of the session. Cake smashes are a wonderful way to finish up baby’s first birthday photo session.
